  • 6 slices of bread
  • 6 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite)
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bread:
    • Use a glass or cookie cutter to cut a hole in the center of each bread slice. Save the bread circles for later.
  2. Cook the eggs:
    • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the bread slices in the skillet.
    • Crack an egg into the hole of each bread slice. Season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Add the cheese and bacon:
    • Sprinkle crumbled bacon and a slice of cheese over each egg-topped bread slice.
    • Place the bread circles in the skillet to toast alongside the main slices.
  4. Cook until set:
    • Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the egg whites are set and the bread is golden brown. Flip the bread circles halfway through to toast both sides.
  5. Garnish and serve:
    • Sprinkle with chopped parsley and green onion for a fresh, flavorful finish.
    • Serve hot with the toasted bread circles on the side.
