Air Fryer Ribeye Steak Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ribeye steak (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • Optional: garlic powder, onion powder, or herbs for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Steak:
    • Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a good sear.
    • Rub the steak with olive oil (if using) and season generously with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings.
  3. Air Fry the Steak:
    • Place the steak in the air fryer basket. Make sure it’s not overcrowded; if necessary, cook in batches.
    • Cook for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Adjust the time for your desired doneness:
      • Medium-rare: 130-135°F (54-57°C)
      • Medium: 135-145°F (57-63°C)
  4. Check for Doneness:
    • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the steak.
  5. Rest the Steak:
    • Remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
  6. Slice and Serve:
    • Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
