Fall-Off-The-Bone Baked BBQ Baby Back Ribs 🍖🔥

Slow-roasted in the oven until tender, then glazed with sticky-sweet BBQ sauce—no grill needed!

Prep Time: 15 mins (plus optional marinating)

Cook Time: 2.5–3 hours | Total Time: 3+ hours

Servings: 2–4

Ingredients

For the Ribs:

  • 1 rack (2–3 lbs) baby back ribs

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

For the BBQ Glaze:

  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce (or homemade)

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

For Serving:

  • Extra BBQ sauce

  • Pickles, coleslaw, or cornbread

Instructions

1. Prep the Ribs:

  • Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs (slide a knife under it, then pull off with a paper towel).

  • Pat ribs dry, then rub with brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.

  • (Optional) Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 2+ hours (or overnight) for deeper flavor.

2. Bake Low & Slow:

  • Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).

  • Place ribs meat-side up on a foil-lined baking sheet. Cover tightly with foil.

  • Bake for 2–2.5 hours until tender (meat should pull back from the bones).

3. Glaze & Caramelize:

  • Whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, vinegar, and Worcestershire.

  • Uncover ribs, brush with glaze, and broil on HIGH for 3–5 mins until bubbly and charred in spots (watch closely!).

4. Rest & Serve:

  • Let ribs rest 10 mins before slicing. Serve with extra sauce and sides.

Tips for Perfect Ribs

  • Tenderness test: Bones should twist slightly when pulled.

  • No broiler? Finish at 400°F (200°C) for 10–15 mins instead.

  • Grill option: After baking, grill ribs over medium heat for smoky flavor.

These ribs are meltingly tender, sweet, and smoky—just like BBQ joint quality! 😍
