Bang Bang Chicken Fried Rice

🔥 Bang Bang Chicken Fried Rice (Sweet, Spicy & Irresistible!)

This restaurant-style fried rice is loaded with crispy chicken, fluffy rice, and the iconic Bang Bang sauce—creamy, sweet, and spicy all at once! Ready in 20 minutes.


⏲️ Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins | Serves: 4


📝 Ingredients

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust for spice)

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar

For the Fried Rice:

  • 3 cups cooked jasmine rice (day-old works best)

  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, diced

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup frozen peas & carrots

  • 3 green onions, sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for GF)

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Oil for frying


👩🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Bang Bang Sauce

  • Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.

2️⃣ Cook the Chicken

  1. Heat oil in a wok/large skillet over high heat.

  2. Season chicken with salt/pepper, then cook until golden and crispy (~5 mins). Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Scramble the Eggs

  • In the same pan, scramble eggs until just set. Remove and set aside.

4️⃣ Stir-Fry the Rice

  1. Add a bit more oil, then sauté garlic and veggies for 1 min.

  2. Add rice, breaking up clumps. Stir-fry 2 mins.

  3. Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil, tossing to coat.

  4. Return chicken and eggs to the pan, mixing well.

5️⃣ Finish & Serve

  • Drizzle with Bang Bang sauce (reserve some for dipping).

  • Garnish with green onions and extra sriracha if desired.

✔ Use cold rice (fresh rice turns mushy).
✔ Extra crispy chicken? Toss in cornstarch before frying.
✔ Vegetarian? Swap chicken for tofu or shrimp.
