Bang Bang Chicken Skewers 🔥🍢

🍗 Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Chicken:

  • 1.5 lbs (700g) boneless chicken thighs (or breasts), cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch (for extra crispiness)

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust for spice)

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)

To Garnish:

  • Sesame seeds

  • Sliced scallions

  • Lime wedges


👩‍🍳 Instructions (25 mins)

  1. Prep Skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 mins (to prevent burning).

  2. Bread the Chicken:

    • Toss chicken cubes in cornstarch, dip in egg, then coat with panko.

    • Thread onto skewers (4-5 pieces per stick).

  3. Cook:

    • Air Fryer: 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 mins, flipping halfway.

    • Oven: 425°F (220°C) for 15-18 mins on a rack.

    • Grill/Stovetop: Cook 3-4 mins per side until golden.

  4. Make the Sauce: Whisk all sauce ingredients until smooth.
