Ingredients:

For the Pie:

  • 1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries (hulled and halved if large)

  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 box (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin (Jell-O)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the pie crust:
    • If using a store-bought crust, bake it according to the package instructions and allow it to cool completely. If making homemade, ensure it’s fully baked and cooled.
  2. Wash and prepare strawberries:
    • Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries in half if they are large. Arrange them in the cooled pie crust, placing them cut side down for a uniform look.
  3. Make the glaze:
    • In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, cornstarch, and water. Stir to combine and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and turns translucent.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the strawberry-flavored gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Assemble the pie:
    • Pour the warm glaze evenly over the strawberries in the pie crust, ensuring all the fruit is coated. Use a spoon to spread the glaze if needed.
  5. Chill the pie:
    • Refrigerate the pie for at least 2-4 hours, or until the glaze is set.
  6. Serve:
