Big Mac Salad – All the Flavor, None of the Bun! 🥗🍔

A deconstructed Big Mac in salad form—packed with the iconic flavors of the McDonald’s classic but lighter and low-carb!


Ingredients (Serves 2-4)

For the Salad:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce (for crunch!)

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes

  • ½ cup diced white onion (or pickled for extra tang)

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ¼ cup dill pickles, chopped (essential for Big Mac flavor!)

  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

For the Big Mac Dressing:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

  • 1 tbsp dill pickle relish

  • 1 tsp white vinegar

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp finely minced onion (optional, for texture)


Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef

    • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles.

    • Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.

  2. Make the Dressing

    • Whisk together all dressing ingredients until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning.

  3. Assemble the Salad

    • In a large bowl, layer:

      • Iceberg lettuce

      • Cooked beef (slightly warm or cooled)

      • Tomatoes, onions, pickles, and cheese

    • Drizzle generously with dressing.

  4. Garnish & Serve

    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and extra pickles.

    • Toss just before eating (or serve deconstructed for presentation).
