Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugars:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add Wet Ingredients:
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in Blueberries:
- Gently fold in the blueberries. If using, also fold in the white chocolate chips and lemon zest. Be careful not to crush the blueberries.
- Scoop the Dough:
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake the Cookies:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
