Cheesy Bundt Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 (16 oz) package refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or a mix of mozzarella and cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little kick)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch Bundt pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Prepare the biscuits:

    • Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. You can use a knife or kitchen scissors to easily cut them into small pieces.
  3. Make the cheesy filling:

    • In a medium bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the bread:

    • Dip each biscuit quarter into the melted butter, then roll it in the cheesy mixture. Place the coated biscuit pieces into the prepared Bundt pan, layering them evenly. Continue until all the biscuit pieces are in the pan.
  5. Add the remaining butter and cheese:

    • Once all the biscuit dough pieces are in the pan, pour any remaining butter over the top. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese mixture evenly over the top of the dough.
  6. Bake:

    • Place the Bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and bubbly. You can check doneness by inserting a toothpick or fork into the center—if it comes out clean, it’s ready.
  7. Cool and serve:

    • Let the bread cool for a few minutes before removing it from the Bundt pan. You can run a knife around the edges to loosen the bread if needed. Once it’s out, serve warm, pulling apart the cheesy, garlicky pieces.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor: Add some finely chopped fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme) to the cheese mixture for extra freshness.
  • Make it spicy: If you like a spicy kick, increase the red pepper flakes or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
