Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried oregano)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 large tortillas (flour or whole wheat)
  • Optional toppings: chopped fresh parsley, spinach, or diced tomatoes

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  2. Mix the Filling:
    • In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, sautéed garlic butter, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and shredded cheese. Mix well.
  3. Assemble the Wraps:
    • Lay out the tortillas and evenly distribute the cheesy chicken mixture among them. If using, add optional toppings like spinach or tomatoes.
  4. Wrap Them Up:
    • Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to create a wrap.
  5. Cook the Wraps:
    • In the same skillet, add a little more butter or oil if needed. Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and cook over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve:
    • Slice the wraps in half and serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

  • Variations: You can add vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms to the chicken mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Make Ahead: You can prepare the filling in advance and store it in the fridge, then assemble and cook the wraps when ready to serve.
