Ingredients:
- 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
- Arrange half of the sliced potatoes in an even layer in the prepared baking dish.
- Mix Cheeses:
- In a bowl, combine the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Layer Potatoes and Cheese:
- Sprinkle half of the cheese mixture over the potatoes.
- Add the remaining sliced potatoes on top.

- Pour the Sauce:
- Pour the cream mixture evenly over the layered potatoes and cheese.
- Bake:
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
- Serve hot.
