Chocochip Gooey Treats

These Chocochip Gooey Treats are a deliciously soft, gooey dessert loaded with chocolate chips and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Think of them as a cross between a cookie and a blondie! The combination of melted chocolate and a rich, chewy texture makes them irresistible.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, for extra gooeyness)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

2. Prepare the Batter:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and well combined.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, whisking until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. The batter will be thick.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter. For extra gooeyness, you can fold in 1/4 cup of milk.

3. Bake:

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean but with a few moist crumbs attached.
  • The key to achieving that gooey texture is to slightly underbake them, so they remain soft and fudgy inside.

4. Cool and Serve:

  • Allow the chocochip treats to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, cut them into squares or bars.

Tips:

  • Gooey Texture: For extra gooeyness, don’t overbake the treats. The center should still feel a little soft and unset when you take them out.
  • Chocolate Chips: You can use semi-sweet, milk, or dark chocolate chips depending on your preference. You can also mix in some white chocolate chips or even caramel bits for variety.
  • Storage: Store these gooey treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze them for longer storage.

These Chocochip Gooey Treats are the perfect balance of rich, chewy, and chocolaty — an ideal treat for any chocolate lover! 🍫🍪
