Christmas Reindeer Crack Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups mini pretzels
  • 4 cups Rice Chex or Corn Chex cereal
  • 2 cups Cheerios (plain or honey)
  • 2 cups salted peanuts (or substitute with almonds, pecans, or omit for nut-free)
  • 1 bag (10–12 oz) holiday M&Ms (red and green)
  • 16 oz white chocolate melting wafers or almond bark
  • 1/2 cup festive holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mix:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the pretzels, Rice Chex, Cheerios, peanuts, and M&Ms.
  2. Melt the Chocolate:
    • Melt the white chocolate wafers or almond bark according to the package instructions. Use a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler. Be sure to stir frequently to avoid scorching.
  3. Combine and Coat:
    • Pour the melted white chocolate over the pretzel and cereal mixture. Gently stir with a large spoon or spatula until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
  4. Spread and Sprinkle:
    • Spread the mixture onto a large sheet of parchment or wax paper in a single layer. Quickly sprinkle the festive holiday sprinkles on top before the chocolate sets.
  5. Cool and Break Apart:
    • Allow the mixture to cool completely and the chocolate to harden (this takes about 30 minutes at room temperature or 10–15 minutes in the refrigerator).
    • Once hardened, break the mixture into bite-sized clusters.

Serving and Storing:

  • Serve: Place in a festive bowl or arrange in small gift bags for a holiday treat.
  • Store: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Tips:

  • Add variety by including mini marshmallows, dried cranberries, or crushed candy canes.
  • Use dark or milk chocolate instead of white chocolate for a different flavor.
  • Adjust ingredients for dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free cereal or nut-free options.

Enjoy your delicious and festive Christmas Reindeer Crack! 🎄🦌
