Crab-Stuffed Cheddar Bay Biscuits with Lemon Butter 🦀🧈
Inspired by Red Lobster’s famous biscuits, but loaded with crab and dipped in a zesty lemon butter!

Ingredients
For the Cheddar Bay Biscuits:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

1½ tsp Old Bay seasoning (or Cajun seasoning)

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

⅔ cup buttermilk (*or milk + 1 tsp vinegar*)
For the Crab Filling:

8 oz lump crabmeat (drained, picked for shells)

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp Dijon mustard
-
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp lemon zest
-
2 tbsp chopped chives or parsley

Salt & pepper to taste
For the Lemon Butter Glaze:

¼ cup melted butter
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Make the Crab Filling:

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayo, Dijon, Worcestershire, lemon zest, chives, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Gently fold in crabmeat (don’t overmix). Chill until ready to use.
2. Make the Biscuit Dough:

Whisk flour, baking powder, Old Bay, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne in a bowl.

Cut in cold butter with a pastry cutter (or fingers) until crumbly.

Stir in cheddar cheese, then add buttermilk until just combined (don’t overmix).
3. Assemble & Bake:

Scoop ¼ cup dough, flatten slightly, add 1 tbsp crab filling, then seal with more dough.

Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12-15 mins until golden.
4. Lemon Butter Glaze:

Whisk melted butter, lemon juice, garlic powder, and parsley.

Brush generously over warm biscuits.
