Here’s a simple recipe for making homemade Cranberry Juice!

Homemade Cranberry Juice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 to 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup lemon juice (for added flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cranberries:
    • Rinse the cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or bad berries.
  2. Cook the Cranberries:
    • In a large pot, combine the cranberries and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Simmer:
    • Reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and softened.
  4. Strain the Juice:
    • Remove the pot from heat and let it cool slightly. Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the mixture into a bowl or pitcher, pressing down on the solids to extract as much juice as possible.
  5. Sweeten the Juice:
    • Return the juice to the pot and add sugar to taste. If using lemon juice, add it at this stage as well. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  6. Chill and Serve:
    • Let the juice cool completely, then refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice or use as a mixer in cocktails.
