Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made 9-inch tart shell (or homemade tart crust)
  • 1 cup (240g) ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (25g) almond flour
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • Optional: Sliced almonds or powdered sugar for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pre-made tart shell on a baking sheet.
  2. Prepare the filling:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and almond flour until smooth.
    • Add the heavy cream, eggs, orange zest, orange juice, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Fill the tart shell:
    • Pour the filling into the tart shell, spreading it evenly.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the edges of the tart shell are golden brown.
  5. Cool and garnish:
    • Let the tart cool completely on a wire rack. Garnish with sliced almonds or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
  6. Serve:
    • Slice and enjoy! Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
