  • Why You’ll Love These:

Ingredients

  • 12 large jalapeños, halved & seeded

  • 1 lb deer tenderloin, finely diced or ground

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • ½ tsp salt & black pepper

  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for glaze)

  • Toothpicks, for securing

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep Jalapeños – Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise, remove seeds/membranes (wear gloves!).
2️⃣ Cook Venison – Sauté deer tenderloin in a skillet until browned. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, cumin, and smoked paprika. Drain excess fat.
3️⃣ Cheesy Filling – Mix cream cheese, cheddar, and cooked venison in a bowl.
4️⃣ Stuff & Wrap – Fill each jalapeño half with the mixture, then wrap tightly with a bacon slice. Secure with a toothpick.
5️⃣ Bake or Grill –

  • Oven: 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 mins until bacon is crispy.

  • Grill/Smoker: Indirect heat, 20-25 mins, until bacon renders.

  • Optional: Brush with honey/maple syrup in the last 5 mins for sweetness.

6️⃣ Serve Hot – Let cool slightly, then enjoy with ranch, BBQ sauce, or a cold beer!

Why You’ll Love These:

🔥 Spicy, smoky, savory – A perfect bite!
🧀 Creamy cheese balances the gamey venison.
🥓 Bacon adds crunch and richness.
🎯 Great for leftovers – Use any ground or diced venison!

Perfect for tailgating, BBQ parties, or wild game feasts—these poppers disappear fast! Want extra heat? Leave some seeds in the jalapeños. 😉
