Delicious Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Sweet, savory, and caramelized to perfection—these juicy pork chops with a sticky brown sugar glaze are ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 4 thick (1-inch) pork chops (bone-in or boneless)

  • 4 tbsp brown sugar, packed

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional, for depth)

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • Fresh thyme or parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

1. Season the Pork Chops

  • Pat chops dry with paper towels.

  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

2. Sear the Chops

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp butter.

  • Sear chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temp reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove and set aside.

3. Make the Glaze

  • Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 2 tbsp butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.

  • Stir until sugar dissolves and sauce thickens slightly (1-2 minutes).

4. Glaze & Serve

  • Return chops to the skillet, spooning glaze over them. Cook for 1-2 more minutes to caramelize.

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and drizzle with extra pan sauce.

Serving Suggestions

  • Pair with mashed potatoes or roasted veggies.

  • For extra flavor, deglaze the pan with 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar before making the glaze.

Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan—cook in batches if needed.

  • For thicker glaze? Add 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water.

These chops are tender, glossy, and packed with umami-sweet flavor—perfect for weeknight dinners! 😋🍖 Let me know if you’d like adjustments!
