Easy 4-Ingredient Bread Rolls

🍞 Soft, fluffy, and ready in under 2 hours—no kneading required!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (240ml) warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)
  • 2¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Optional: 1 tsp salt (for flavor)

Instructions

1. Activate the Yeast

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Let sit 5-10 minutes until frothy (proofing the yeast).

2. Make the Dough

  1. Stir in flour (and salt, if using) until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Cover with a towel and let rise 1 hour (or until doubled).

3. Shape & Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Divide dough into 8-10 balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake 15-18 minutes until golden.

Tips

✔ No yeast? Substitute with 1 tsp baking powder + 1 tsp baking soda (but texture will differ).
✔ Add-ins: Garlic butter, herbs, or cheese for extra flavor!
