Five Flavor Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan or tube pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix the milk with all five extracts (vanilla, coconut, rum, butter, and lemon).
  6. Alternate Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk mixture. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
  7. Pour into Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake: Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve: Slice and enjoy! This cake is delicious on its own or with a dusting of powdered sugar or a simple glaze.

Tips:

  • Extracts: The combination of extracts gives this cake its unique flavor. Feel free to adjust the amounts slightly to suit your taste.
  • Storage: Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
  • Glaze (Optional): For an extra touch, drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and a splash of vanilla extract.

Enjoy this rich, moist, and flavorful pound cake! ❤️
