Fluffy Condensed Milk Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Extra flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, condensed milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Combine Wet and Dry:
    • Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
  4. Knead the Dough:
    • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook for this step.
  5. First Rise:
    • Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  6. Shape the Bread:
    • After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Turn it out onto a floured surface and shape it into a loaf. You can also divide it into smaller portions for dinner rolls.
  7. Second Rise:
    • Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan (or on a baking sheet for rolls). Cover again and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffed up.
  8. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Bake:
    • Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  10. Cool and Serve:
    • Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
