Here’s a fun and easy recipe for Garlic Bread Pizza—a delicious twist on traditional pizza that combines cheesy goodness with garlic bread!

Garlic Bread Pizza

Ingredients:

  • For the Garlic Bread Base:
    • 1 loaf of French or Italian bread (or garlic bread sticks)
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
    • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (like oregano or basil)
    • Salt to taste
  • For the Pizza Toppings:
    • 1 cup marinara sauce (or pizza sauce)
    • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, etc.)
    • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Garlic Bread:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, dried herbs, and a pinch of salt.
    • Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides.
  2. Toast the Bread:
    • Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the edges start to get golden and crispy.
  3. Add the Sauce and Cheese:
    • Remove the bread from the oven and spread marinara or pizza sauce over the toasted sides.
    • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Add Your Toppings:
    • Add your desired toppings on top of the cheese. Feel free to get creative!
  5. Bake:
    • Return the garlic bread pizza to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Serve:
    • Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Cut into slices and garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
