Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Rollups

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup diced pickles (optional but adds a great flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef Mixture:

    • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
    • Drain any excess fat, then stir in the crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced pickles (if using).
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside and let the mixture cool slightly.
  2. Roll Out the Dough:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Roll out the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. You want to stretch it out into a rectangular shape, about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Assemble the Rollups:

    • Spread the beef mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Carefully roll up the dough like you would a cinnamon roll, making sure the filling stays inside.
  4. Slice the Rollups:

    • Once rolled up, use a sharp knife to cut the dough into about 1-inch slices. You should have several small rollups.
  5. Make Garlic Butter:

    • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with the minced garlic and mix well.
    • Brush the garlic butter mixture over the tops of the rollups.
  6. Bake the Rollups:

    • Arrange the rollups on a baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each one.
    • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pizza dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
  7. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute or two.
    • Serve hot as an appetizer, snack, or a fun dinner with extra dipping sauce on the side.

Optional Dipping Sauce:

  • Ketchup, mustard, or ranch dressing work wonderfully for dipping.
