Posted on August 10, 2025

Here’s a mouthwatering Garlic Butter Beef & Rice Skillet recipe that’s easy, flavorful, and cooks all in one pan for minimal cleanup! Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner with rich, savory flavors.

🍽️ Garlic Butter Beef & Rice Skillet

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 25 mins | Serves: 4-6

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (or steak strips)

  • 1 cup white rice (or jasmine/basmati)

  • 2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)

  • 3 tbsp butter (divided)

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 1 bell pepper, diced (any color)

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1️⃣ Brown the Beef

  • In a large skillet (oven-safe if possible), melt 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat.

  • Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned (5-6 mins). Drain excess fat if needed.

2️⃣ Sauté Veggies & Garlic

  • Push beef to one side, add remaining butter, then sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic for 2-3 mins until fragrant.

3️⃣ Toast the Rice

  • Stir in rice, paprika, thyme, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook 1-2 mins to lightly toast the rice.

4️⃣ Simmer Until Tender

  • Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stir well, and bring to a boil.

  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-18 mins (or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed).

5️⃣ Finish & Serve

  • Fluff with a fork, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

  • Optional: For extra richness, drizzle with melted garlic butter before serving.

🔥 Pro Tips:

✅ For extra flavor, use bone broth instead of regular broth.
✅ Add veggies like mushrooms, spinach, or peas for more nutrition.
✅ Make it creamy by stirring in a splash of heavy cream at the end.
✅ Leftovers? This reheats well—just add a splash of broth when warming.

Why You’ll Love It:

✔ One-pan wonder (less cleanup!)
✔ Packed with garlicky, buttery goodness
✔ Customizable (swap beef for ground turkey or chicken)

Serve with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Enjoy! 😋
