Ingredients

  • For the Seafood:
    • 2 lobster tails, split
    • 1 lb sea scallops
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Juice of 1 lemon
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Seafood:
    • If you haven’t already, split the lobster tails in half lengthwise and remove any shell fragments. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cook the Lobster:
    • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
    • Place the lobster tails cut side down in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes. Flip them over, add a bit of salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sear the Scallops:
    • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the scallops in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches).
    • Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Add lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
  5. Combine:
    • Return the lobster and scallops to the skillet, tossing gently in the garlic butter sauce to coat.
  6. Serve:
    • Plate the lobster and scallops, drizzling any remaining garlic butter sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and additional lemon wedges if desired.

Tips

  • Serve with crusty bread, rice, or pasta to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce.
  • You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.

Enjoy your indulgent Garlic Butter Lobster and Scallops! It’s sure to impress!
