Here’s a simple and flavorful recipe for garlic butter roasted mushrooms that makes a perfect side dish or appetizer!

Garlic Butter Roasted Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried parsley)
  • 1 tsp thyme (fresh or dried)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Mushrooms:
    • Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth or paper towel. Trim the stems if needed, and leave larger mushrooms whole while halving or quartering smaller ones.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter:
    • In a bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Toss the Mushrooms:
    • Place the mushrooms in a large bowl and pour the garlic butter mixture over them. Toss until the mushrooms are evenly coated.
  5. Roast:
    • Spread the mushrooms in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are tender and golden brown.
  6. Serve:
    • If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy warm as a side dish or appetizer!
