Posted on June 27, 2025

Garlic Butter Salmon & Shrimp with Creamy Spinach Linguine 🍝🍤🐟

A restaurant-worthy seafood pasta with garlicky butter sauce, tender salmon, juicy shrimp, and silky spinach linguine—ready in 30 minutes!

Ingredients

For the Seafood & Pasta:

  • 2 salmon fillets (skin-on or off)

  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 8 oz linguine (or fettuccine)

  • 3 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • 1 lemon (zest + juice)

For the Creamy Spinach Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (+ extra for garnish)

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional, but delicious)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Boil linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

  2. Sear the Salmon & Shrimp:

    • Pat salmon/shrimp dry, season with salt/pepper.

    • Heat 1 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high.

    • Cook salmon 3-4 mins per side until golden. Remove and set aside.

    • In the same pan, add shrimp and cook 1-2 mins per side until pink. Remove and set aside.

  3. Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:

    • Lower heat to medium. Add remaining 2 tbsp butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Sauté 30 sec until fragrant.

    • Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan, and nutmeg. Simmer 2-3 mins until slightly thickened.

    • Stir in spinach until wilted. Add lemon zest/juice, then toss in cooked pasta. Thin with pasta water if needed.

  4. Combine & Serve:

    • Nestle salmon and shrimp into the pasta. Garnish with extra Parmesan, lemon wedges, and parsley.

Pro Tips

🔥 For crispy salmon skin: Start skin-side down in the pan and don’t move it!
🍤 Shrimp hack: Add them last to prevent overcooking.
🌿 Substitutions: Use kale instead of spinach, or swap heavy cream for half-and-half.

Why This Works

✅ One-pan wonder (minus the pasta pot).
✅ Luxurious but easy—the cream sauce clings perfectly to every strand.
✅ Balanced flavors—garky butter, bright lemon, and savory seafood.

Perfect for date night or impressing guests! 😍 Pair with a crisp white wine.

Want it spicier? Double the red pepper flakes! 🌶️
