Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary (or fresh, if available)
  • 1 tsp dried thyme (or fresh, if available)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Potatoes:
    • In a large skillet, bring water to a boil and add the halved baby potatoes. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until fork-tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Steak:
    • In the same skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sear for about 3-4 minutes, until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Potatoes:
    • In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the cooked potatoes, rosemary, thyme, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Combine and Add Garlic:
    • Return the seared steak to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring everything together until the garlic is fragrant and the steak is heated through.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot.
