🍩 GF Chocolate-Filled Donuts (Baked, Not Fried!)

These gluten-free donuts are soft, fluffy, and stuffed with rich chocolate filling—no deep fryer needed! Perfect for a decadent breakfast or dessert.

⏲️ Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins | Makes: 6 donuts

📝 Ingredients

For the Donuts:

  • 1 cup gluten-free 1:1 flour (like Bob’s Red Mill)

  • ¼ cup coconut sugar (or granulated sugar)

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ cup milk (dairy or almond)

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp melted butter (or coconut oil)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Filling:

  • ½ cup dairy-free chocolate chips

  • ¼ cup heavy cream (or coconut cream)

  • 1 tbsp butter

For Topping (Optional):

  • Powdered sugar

  • Chocolate glaze (melted chocolate + coconut oil)

👩🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Donuts

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.

  2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.

  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

  5. Pipe or spoon batter into the donut pan (fill ¾ full).

  6. Bake 8–10 mins until lightly golden. Cool completely.

2️⃣ Make the Chocolate Filling

  1. Heat cream until steaming (not boiling).

  2. Pour over chocolate chips and butter, let sit 1 min, then stir until smooth.

  3. Chill 10 mins to thicken.

3️⃣ Fill & Decorate

  1. Use a piping bag (or ziplock with corner snipped) to inject chocolate into the donuts.

  2. Dust with powdered sugar or dip in chocolate glaze.

💡 Pro Tips

✔ No donut pan? Shape into balls and bake as “donut holes.”
✔ Extra filling? Add peanut butter to the chocolate.
✔ Storage: Best eaten fresh, but keeps 2 days airtight.
