Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of ham
  • 8 string cheese sticks (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Lay out the ham slices on a clean surface. Place one string cheese stick at the edge of each ham slice and roll tightly.
  2. Set Up the Breading Station:
    • Place the flour in one shallow bowl.
    • Beat the eggs in a second shallow bowl.
    • In a third shallow bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bread the Ham and Cheese Sticks:
    • Dredge each ham and cheese stick in the flour, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip the floured stick into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s completely coated.
    • Roll the stick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry the Sticks:
    • Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
    • Carefully place the breaded ham and cheese sticks in the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
    • Remove the sticks from the oil and drain on paper towels.
