Ham Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked ham, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped (red or green onion)
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish (or dill relish, if preferred)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped hard-boiled eggs, herbs (like parsley or dill)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Finely chop the cooked ham, celery, onion, and any optional ingredients you’re using.

2. Mix the Salad:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped ham, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard (if using), celery, onion, and pickle relish.
  • Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

3. Season:

  • Taste the mixture and season with salt and pepper to your liking. Adjust the mayonnaise or mustard based on your preference for creaminess and flavor.

4. Chill:

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

5. Serve:

  • Serve the ham salad on bread for sandwiches, on crackers, or as a dip with vegetables.
