Honey Garlic Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Cook the Shrimp:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
    • Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  3. Add the Sauce:
    • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked shrimp in the skillet. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly and cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Serve:
    • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
