Honey-Glazed Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Ingredients:

For the Brussels Sprouts:

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

For the Bacon:

  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Brussels sprouts:

    • Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and slice them in half. Make sure they are all roughly the same size so they cook evenly.
  3. Prepare the bacon:

    • In a medium pan, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy (about 6-8 minutes). Once done, remove the bacon from the pan and set it aside, leaving a little of the bacon grease in the pan for flavor.
  4. Toss Brussels sprouts:

    • In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, honey, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.
  5. Roast the Brussels sprouts:

    • Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts evenly on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down. This helps them get a nice crispness.
    • Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  6. Combine the bacon and Brussels sprouts:

    • Once the Brussels sprouts are done, remove them from the oven and place them in a serving dish. Top them with the crispy bacon and drizzle a little more honey on top if you like.
  7. Serve:

    • Serve immediately as a delicious side dish, and enjoy the sweet and savory flavors!

This dish is great as a side for dinner or as part of a holiday spread. The honey adds a touch of sweetness that complements the salty bacon and the earthy Brussels sprouts perfectly! Let me know how it turns out! 😋
