Honey-Lime Garlic Butter Baked Salmon

This Honey-Lime Garlic Butter Baked Salmon is a quick and flavorful recipe, perfect for weeknight dinners or a special meal. The sweet and tangy glaze complements the rich salmon beautifully, while garlic butter adds a delicious depth of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 large salmon fillet (about 1.5–2 pounds)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lime slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh chopped parsley or cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Salmon:
    • Place the salmon skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Pat the salmon dry with paper towels.
  3. Make the Honey-Lime Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lime juice, minced garlic, melted butter, olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Coat the Salmon:
    • Brush the sauce generously over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated. Reserve a small amount of sauce for basting during baking, if desired.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
  6. Broil for Extra Caramelization (Optional):
    • For a slightly caramelized top, switch the oven to broil during the last 2–3 minutes of baking. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  7. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with lime slices and fresh parsley or cilantro, if using.
    • Serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.

Tips:

  • To ensure even cooking, allow the salmon to come to room temperature for about 15 minutes before baking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Enjoy this bright and buttery Honey-Lime Garlic Butter Baked Salmon! 🐟
