How to Clean Stains & Odors Out of Tupperware
(No scrubbing required! These hacks work for tomato sauce, turmeric, and lingering smells.)
🍅 For Stubborn Stains
1. Baking Soda Paste
-
Mix 2 tbsp baking soda + 1 tbsp water into a paste.
-
Spread on stains, let sit 1 hour, then rinse.
-
Bonus: Removes odors too!
2. Sun Bleaching
-
Fill stained container with water + 1 tbsp lemon juice.
-
Place in direct sunlight for 4+ hours. UV rays lift stains naturally.
3. Denture Tablets
-
Drop 1 tablet in warm water, soak overnight. Works on coffee/tea stains!
🧄 For Lingering Odors
1. White Vinegar Soak
-
Mix 1:1 vinegar + water, soak 30 mins, then wash.
-
Pro Tip: Add lemon peels for fresh scent.
2. Coffee Grounds
-
Place used coffee grounds in container, seal, shake, and sit overnight.
⚠️ Avoid Future Stains
-
Don’t store tomato-based foods long-term in clear plastic.
-
Hand-wash instead of dishwasher (heat sets stains).
-
Try glass containers for curry/turmeric.
