Posted on March 4, 2025

Impossible Ham and Swiss Pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that’s a cross between a quiche and a savory pie. The best part is that it doesn’t require a traditional crust—everything magically “sets” as it bakes into a savory, cheesy pie! Here’s how to make it:

Impossible Ham and Swiss Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups diced ham (cooked)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the pie dish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish with the butter.
  2. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sour cream, flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using) until smooth and well-combined.
  3. Add Ham and Cheese:

    • Stir in the diced ham and shredded Swiss cheese. Make sure everything is evenly distributed.
  4. Pour Into the Dish:

    • Pour the mixture into the prepared pie dish. Spread it evenly.
  5. Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Serve:

    • Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature.

This Impossible Ham and Swiss Pie is an easy, flavorful dish that works for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even dinner! The eggs and flour create a soft, custardy base that holds the ham and cheese perfectly. Enjoy! 🧀🥧
