Creamy Jarlsberg Cheese Dip

Rich, nutty, and irresistibly melty—perfect for parties or cozy nights in!

Ingredients

(Serves 6–8)

  • 2 cups shredded Jarlsberg cheese (about 8 oz)

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions (white + light green parts)

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (or ½ tsp dry mustard)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, for extra depth)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Mix: In a bowl, combine Jarlsberg, cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, green onions, Dijon, garlic powder, Worcestershire, and cayenne. Fold until fully blended.

  3. Bake: Transfer to a small ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan (if using). Bake 20–25 mins until bubbly and golden at the edges.

  4. Broil (optional): For a crispier top, broil 1–2 mins at the end.

  5. Serve: Garnish with extra green onions. Pair with:

    • Pretzels, baguette slices, or crackers

    • Veggies (bell peppers, carrots, celery)

    • Apple slices (for a sweet contrast)

Tips

  • Make ahead: Assemble unbaked dip, cover, and refrigerate up to 1 day. Bake as directed (+5 mins if cold).

  • Slow cooker: Mix ingredients, cook on LOW 1–2 hours, stirring occasionally.

  • No oven? Microwave in 30-sec intervals, stirring between, until melted.

Why Jarlsberg? Its buttery, slightly sweet flavor melts like a dream—no clumping! 🧀🔥

Great for game day, holidays, or wine nights!
