Keto Jalapeño Popper Casserole

This spicy, cheesy, and satisfying casserole combines all the flavors of jalapeño poppers with hearty ground beef for a perfect low-carb, keto-friendly meal!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground chicken/turkey)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 4 oz canned diced jalapeños, drained (or 2-3 fresh jalapeños, diced)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • ½ cup cooked bacon, chopped (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Brown the ground beef:

    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.

    • Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  3. Mix in the creamy layer:

    • In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, and diced jalapeños.

    • Stir in the cooked beef (and bacon, if using).

  4. Bake:

    • Spread mixture into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish (or similar size).

    • Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.

  5. Broil (optional):

    • For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes (watch closely!).

  6. Serve hot:

    • Garnish with extra jalapeños, chopped green onions, or a dollop of sour cream.
