Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8 oz)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest (from about 1 lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing the rolls)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:

  • In a medium-sized bowl, beat together the cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy. Set the mixture aside.

3. Assemble the Crescent Rolls:

  • Unroll the crescent roll dough on a flat surface and separate it into individual triangles along the perforated lines.
  • Place a spoonful of the lemon cheesecake filling on the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll up each crescent roll tightly, starting from the wide end, and place it on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Brush with Butter:

  • Brush the tops of the crescent rolls with melted butter to help them become golden brown while baking.

5. Bake:

  • Bake the crescent rolls in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.

6. Finish and Serve:

  • Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
  • Optionally, dust the warm rolls with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness and a pretty finish.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Extra Lemon Flavor: If you like a stronger lemon flavor, you can add a little more lemon zest or juice to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Variation: Feel free to swap the lemon for another fruit, like raspberry or blueberry, for a different flavor twist.
  • Make Ahead: You can prepare the filling and store it in the fridge ahead of time, then assemble and bake the rolls when you’re ready.

These Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Rolls are the perfect balance of tangy, sweet, and creamy—great for breakfast, dessert, or a snack! Enjoy!
