Maple Bacon Glazed Chicken Bites Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled (reserve 1-2 tablespoons of bacon grease)
  • ½ cup maple syrup (use real maple syrup for the best flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for a smoky flavor)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Cook the bacon:
    • In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble it into small pieces. Reserve 1-2 tablespoons of the bacon grease for cooking the chicken.
  2. Prepare the glaze:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Cook the chicken:
    • Heat the reserved bacon grease in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Add the glaze:
    • Pour the maple syrup mixture over the cooked chicken. Stir to coat the chicken evenly. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until the glaze thickens and coats the chicken.
  5. Add the bacon:
    • Stir in the crumbled bacon, reserving a little for garnish if desired. Cook for another minute to combine the flavors.
  6. Serve:
    • Transfer the chicken bites to a serving plate. Garnish with the remaining bacon, chopped green onions, or sesame seeds.
    • Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice, mashed potatoes, or a salad for a main dish.

Tips:

  • Make it spicy: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the glaze for a spicy kick.
  • Use an air fryer: For a lighter version, cook the chicken bites in an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, then toss with the glaze and bacon.
  • Double the glaze: If you love extra sauce, double the glaze ingredients and serve it on the side for dipping.

Enjoy these Maple Bacon Glazed Chicken Bites—they’re sweet, savory, and totally addictive! Let me know if you’d like more recipe ideas. 😊
