Microwave Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional for topping)

Instructions:

1. Melt the Peanut Butter and Butter:
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and unsalted butter.
  • Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the butter and peanut butter are completely melted and smooth (about 1-2 minutes total).
2. Add the Powdered Sugar:
  • Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. You should have a thick and creamy peanut butter mixture.
3. Set the Fudge:
  • Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Pour the peanut butter mixture into the prepared dish and spread it out evenly.
4. (Optional) Add Chocolate Topping:
  • If you want a chocolate topping, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread it evenly with a spatula.
5. Refrigerate:
  • Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until it is firm and set.
6. Cut and Serve:
  • Once the fudge has set, remove it from the refrigerator. Lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper and cut it into squares.

Tips:

  • Customize the Toppings: You can mix in chopped nuts (like peanuts or pecans) or even swirl in some caramel sauce for added flavor.
  • Storage: Store the fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 weeks.
  • No Chocolate? If you don’t want a chocolate topping, the fudge is perfectly delicious on its own without it!

This Microwave Peanut Butter Fudge is a quick, no-fuss dessert that’s perfect for satisfying a sweet craving or sharing with friends and family. Enjoy! 🍬🥜
