Peach Puff Ring-a-lings 🍑✨

A retro-inspired, fluffy peach dessert with a fun name! These light, creamy pastries (or “rings”) combine sweet peaches with pillowy puff pastry or whipped cream—like a cross between a cream puff and a peach Danish.

Ingredients *(Makes 8-10 rings)*

For the Pastry:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • 1 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)

For the Peach Filling:

  • 1 cup diced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)

  • 2 tbsp peach jam (or apricot preserves)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

For the Cream Filling (Optional):

  • 1 cup whipped cream or vanilla pudding

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

For Glaze (Optional):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1-2 tbsp milk

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep Filling

  • Mix peaches, jam, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.

2️⃣ Shape Rings

  • Roll out puff pastry and cut into 1.5-inch strips.

  • Twist each strip into a ring shape, pinching ends to seal.

  • Place on a baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with sugar.

3️⃣ Bake

  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 mins until golden. Cool completely.

4️⃣ Fill & Glaze

  • Once cooled, pipe whipped cream into the center (if using).

  • Top with peach filling.

  • Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze (optional).

Serving Ideas

🍑 Dust with powdered sugar for a vintage look.
🍦 Serve with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
☕ Perfect with tea or coffee!

Why the Name “Ring-a-lings”?

This whimsical name likely comes from their ring shape + “ting-a-ling” (like a sweet bell sound). Some vintage recipes use similar names for frosted donuts or cream-filled pastries.

Enjoy this nostalgic, peachy treat! 😊

Variation: Swap peaches for apples or berries!
