Philly Cheesesteak Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine work well)
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (green or red)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Sauté the Vegetables:

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

3. Cook the Beef:

  • Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the sliced beef. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

4. Make the Sauce:

  • Add the beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  • Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 3-5 minutes.

5. Combine with Pasta:

  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine.
  • Gradually stir in the shredded provolone cheese until melted and creamy.

6. Serve:

  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
