Pink Snowballs Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Cookie Dough:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch (helps make the cookies soft and tender)
  • Pink food coloring (gel or liquid)

For the Coating:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Optional: extra sprinkles or colored sugar for decoration

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  • Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  • Gradually add the flour, salt, and cornstarch, mixing until just combined.
  • Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the dough, mixing until you reach your desired shade of pink.

2. Shape the Cookies:

  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set and the edges are slightly golden. Be careful not to overbake them, as they should remain soft.

3. Coat the Cookies:

  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
  • While they are still slightly warm, roll the cookies in powdered sugar until they are completely coated. You can add extra colored sugar or sprinkles for an extra festive touch if you’d like.

4. Serve:

  • Once fully cooled, the Pink Snowballs will have a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the bright pink color will make them a hit at any celebration!

Tips:

  • Flavor Variations: Add a small amount of almond extract to enhance the flavor, or mix in mini chocolate chips for a little chocolatey surprise inside!
  • Storage: Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can also freeze them for longer storage.

These Pink Snowballs are a fun and pretty version of classic snowball cookies, with a vibrant pink color and a soft, delicate texture. Enjoy making these festive treats!
