Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pork Chops:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
    • Brown the pork chops in the skillet, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a medium bowl, mix together the condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Dish:
    • In a 9×13 inch baking dish, arrange the browned pork chops in a single layer.
    • Top each pork chop with a layer of sliced onions.
    • Pour the soup mixture over the pork chops and onions.
    • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  4. Bake:
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
    • Serve hot with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
