Powerful Immune-Boosting Onion-Garlic Syrup

(Natural remedy for cough, congestion, and respiratory support)

This antibiotic-rich syrup combines potent ingredients to fight infections, loosen phlegm, and soothe throat irritation. Perfect for colds, flu, bronchitis, or sinusitis!

Ingredients & Benefits

  • 1 onion (finely chopped) – Quercetin (anti-inflammatory, antiviral)

  • 3–4 garlic cloves (minced) – Allicin (natural antibiotic, breaks up mucus)

  • 1-inch ginger (grated) – Expectorant (clears lungs), reduces inflammation

  • 1 carrot (grated) – Vitamin A (repairs mucous membranes, boosts immunity)

  • Juice of 2 lemons – Vitamin C (immune support), thins mucus

  • Raw honey (to cover) – Soothes throat, antibacterial

Step-by-Step Preparation

  1. Layer ingredients in a clean jar:

    • Add onion, garlic, ginger, and carrot.

    • Pour lemon juice over the mixture.

    • Cover completely with honey (ensures preservation).

  2. Let it steep for 8–12 hours (or overnight):

    • Honey will pull out the medicinal juices, creating a thick syrup.

  3. Strain & store:

    • Use a sieve to separate solids from liquid.

    • Keep syrup in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

How to Use

  • Adults: Take 1 tbsp, 2–3 times daily (can be taken straight or in warm tea).

  • Children (1+ yrs): 1 tsp, 1–2 times daily (avoid for babies under 1 due to honey risk).

  • Best for:

    • Dry or wet coughs

    • Sinus congestion

    • Sore throat

    • Bronchitis or mild respiratory infections

Why It Works

  • Garlic & onion act as natural antibiotics.

  • Ginger & lemon break up stubborn mucus.

  • Honey coats and soothes the throat.

  • Carrot provides immune-boosting vitamins.

Note: If symptoms worsen or persist beyond 7 days, consult a doctor.

Would you like a spicy horseradish variation (for sinus relief) or a thyme-honey syrup (for stronger antibacterial effects)? Let me know! 🌿🍯
