Posted on March 19, 2025

Red Robin’s Tsunami Shrimp Sauce is a creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with shrimp, seafood, or even fries. While the exact recipe is a secret, here’s a copycat version that comes pretty close to the real deal:

Red Robin’s Tsunami Shrimp Sauce (Copycat)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (120g) mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup (60g) sour cream
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste for spiciness)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for depth)
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil (optional, for a nutty flavor)

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients:
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika (if using), and sesame oil (if using).
  2. Adjust the flavor:
    • Taste the sauce and adjust the spiciness or sweetness by adding more sriracha or sweet chili sauce as needed.
  3. Chill and serve:
    • Cover the sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
    • Serve with shrimp, seafood, fries, or as a dipping sauce for veggies.

Tips

  • Make it ahead: This sauce can be made up to 3 days in advance and stored in the fridge.
  • Customize: Add a squeeze of lime juice or a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra zing.
  • Serving ideas: Use it as a dressing for salads, a spread for sandwiches, or a dip for spring rolls.

This Tsunami Shrimp Sauce is a versatile and flavorful condiment that’s sure to elevate your meals. Enjoy! 🍤🔥✨
