Rotel Sausage & Cream Cheese Crescents

Makes: 16 crescents
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 25 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz) tube refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • ½ lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ (10 oz) can Rotel tomatoes & green chilies, drained

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • Optional: Chopped green onions, jalapeños, or hot sauce for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles until browned. Drain excess grease.

  3. Mix the filling – In a bowl, combine cooked sausage, cream cheese, drained Rotel, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until creamy.

  4. Assemble crescents – Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Spoon 1-2 tbsp of filling onto the wide end of each triangle, then roll up toward the point.

  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.

  6. Garnish (optional) with chopped green onions, extra cheese, or a drizzle of hot sauce.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Great with ranch or queso dip!

  • Swap Rotel for diced jalapeños for extra heat.

  • Use puff pastry instead of crescents for a flakier texture.

These are irresistibly creamy, spicy, and cheesy—perfect for any crowd! Enjoy! 😋🔥
