Salmon and Shrimp Skillet Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Pat the salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels. Season both with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Cook the Salmon:
    • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Shrimp:
    • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque. Squeeze in the lemon juice and add the lemon zest.
  4. Combine and Serve:
    • Return the salmon to the skillet, nestling it among the shrimp. Cook for another minute to heat through.
    • Garnish with chopped parsley and additional lemon wedges if desired.
