Ingredients:

  • 4-6 slices of sandwich bread (crusts removed)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Prepare the bread crusts:

    • Remove the crusts from the slices of bread. You can either cut the bread into smaller strips or roll them into little “logs” by pressing them together (if you prefer more of a roll shape).
  3. Prepare the garlic butter:

    • In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic (or garlic powder), dried parsley (optional), salt, and black pepper.
  4. Coat the bread:

    • Dip each bread strip (or rolled bread log) into the garlic butter mixture, making sure it’s coated evenly. Place them on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Top with cheese (optional):

    • If you’re using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle a little on top of each bread piece for added flavor.
  6. Bake the rolls:

    • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  7. Garnish and serve:
